Together Forever

Tim and I have been praying for our son to become a Christian since we found out we were pregnant.  We, however, never wanted to push him into the decision.  We wanted it to come from him and not from an invitation.  That is just what happened last week!! Sammy asked me if we could pray to have Jesus come live in his heart.

Sammy knew that Jesus is the Son of God and came to live a perfect life.  He knows that Jesus then died on the cross for his sins (all of our sins) and then was raised from the dead to concur sin!  Sammy knows he is a sinner and he repented of his sins.   Sammy also knows he needs Jesus’ Grace  and salvation.

We realize that Sammy is five and that his understanding will only grow.  He has childlike faith and we want to encourage that for a lifetime.  Sammy was so super excited to tell his friends and family about Jesus living in his heart.

Now the next part of the journey.  I can’t wait to see how his faith grows and what God has planned for his life.  I do know that he gave this boy some spunk and I can’t wait to see it used for God’s kingdom.

Oh Lindsay what a wonderful thing to celebrate! And of course it is a childlike faith, it should be!
